16th May, 1919 Dear Sir, In reply to your letter of the 8th instant, I beg to say that the Memorial Cards in respect of those men of the Regiment, who have given their lives in the Great War, are prepared and dispatched in order of the date of the casualty concerned. As the death of your son was amongst some of the latest to be reported, I do not think it will be possible for the card to reach you for some little time yet. I may say, however, that the cards are all being prepared with the greatest possible despatch, and are being sent, after completion, to the relatives of the deceased soldiers by Messrs.
